Customers Get a Taste of the South Without Leaving Westford
In Patch's latest Farmers Market vendor spotlight, we look at Hill Orchard, a local business that provides freshly grown fruit.
If you're looking for a staple of the south, you may not have to travel as far as you'd think.
"When you think peaches, you think the south," said A.J. Yingst, who works for Hill Orchard, a Westford business that sets up shop at the Farmers Market each Tuesday. "But these are some of the best I've ever had and from what I've heard from people around me, they always talk really highly about our fruit. It's nice to hear."
Hill Orchard is the latest to be featured in Patch's vendor spotlight series. The organization specializes in fresh fruits, and also sells homemade jams.
According to Yingst, it's easy to taste the difference between a locally grown fruit and one sold in a chain store.
"I've definitely seen the difference compared to going to the grocery store and buying the same fruit," said Yingst. "More so than me, I hear the testament from the customers."
