Westford Man Arrested for Drunken Golf Cart Driving After Passenger is Injured

Police say injuries were so serious that the hurt golf cart passenger was flown out by medical helicopter.

A Westford man was charged with OUI in Maine after driving a golf cart while drunk Saturday night and seriously hurting a passenger in the cart, Maine, police told the Boston Herald

Police say Gary Belinsky, of Westford, was driving when his passenger, a Maine man, suffered serious head injuries after being thrown from the golf cart.

The injured Maine man was flown by medical helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland, says the Herald, where he remains in critical condition.

Bail for Belinsky was set at $300. The incident remains under investigation by police in Maine.
