Nashoba Tech Student Allegedly Smoked Marijuana on School Bus

The following information was supplied by the Westford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 23, 8:50 a.m. – An officer was dispatched for a call of alleged drug possession at Nashoba Tech. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a school official and showed a smoking pipe and a what was described as a very small amount of marijuana.

The student accused of possessing the marijuana was brought into the office of the school official along with his father, with the school official said that two fellow students informed the official that he was smoking on the bus to school that morning.

Both the student and his father were cooperative and polite according to police reports.

The student was issued a citation and the school official said that he would go over suspension procedures on Monday.

Nov. 1, 9:52 p.m. – A resident on Maple Road reported that a gang of kids was running around his home with flashlights for some reason, yelling loudly.

Police could not find any kids near his residence, although there were kids down the street under parental supervision that were not described as loud.

Nov. 2, 1:15 p.m. – A man received two calls from a foreign sounding man saying he was from the IRS and that if money was not sent, arrests would be made by the Sheriff’s Department.

The person receiving the call knew instantly the call was fake, but wished to report the call. Police tried contacting the number provided by the foreign man, but it was a fax number.
