A Few Places You Can Donate Your Time In The Westford Area This Thanksgiving

In just a few days, people across the country will stop to give thanks and feast with family and friends on Thanksgiving.

However, there are those less fortunate in the greater Westford area who will need help this holiday season.

Here are a few places where you can volunteer nearby to help those in need. If you have any additional events where help is needed, please chime in on the comments section

Chelmsford Senior Center

Three volunteers are needed for a meal to be served from 11:15 to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at the Chelmsford Senior Center on Groton Road.

Turkeys are also needed for a raffle.

Anyone interested can call Linda Desrosiers at 978-251-0989.

13th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Harbor Homes

Harbor Homes, a facility in Nashua that specializes in serving homeless veterans, will be holding a free holiday meal for those in need from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26

Volunteers are welcome to call Jennifer at 603-882-3616. Harbor Homes is located on Chestnut Street near the Post Office.

Lowell Transitional Living Center

There will be three Thanksgiving meals at the Lowell Transitional Living Center at 189 Middlesex Avenue, but the LTLC serves three meals every day to those in need in the area and they need help.

Donations of money are encouraged, and meal preparation help is also welcomed. For more information, call Bonnie at 978-458-9888.
