Town officials began and ended the memorial along the timeline of 9/11's unfolding of events ten years ago.

On September 11, 2011, Westford came together to remember the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States.

The Remembrance ceremony began between town hall, the fire station and the police station at almost exactly ten years to the second of the first plane hitting the World Trade Center.

From there, the ceremonies continued and eventually moved down Lincoln Street to the grandstand on Westford Common, concluding at approximately ten years to the second after the towers fell with the consecration of a 9/11 memorial bench near the tip of the Common.
