ReplyIt seems nuts to blame Arciero for budget pressures that have been felt not just across the state but across the country.
I would also say it's not reasonable to call him a "consummate Beacon Hill insider." He broke with his party to try to get an independent redistricting panel, winning the approval of the conservative Sun (http://www.lowellsun.com/editorials/ci_21886468/arciero-proves-his-leadership).

Ever since I moved into Nab, I've wanted to ask someone: what is the deal with the white line on Rt. 40? That is *not* where one stops to make a left turn (at least not that I've ever observed driving in the rest of the country). Is it law that we have to stop there in Westford? If so, why? If not, what is the line doing there?
It seems that having a non-standard intersection design can't help matters.

ReplyBC2426 -- I'm not sure you read the same chat I did. There were a couple of right-leaning questions, including a question on capital gains tax (right-leaning question), a question on native american heritage (basically an ad-hominem attack question) and another question on jobs that focused on taxes (right-leaning). On the left (possibly), there was a question about single payer health care. The question about education seemed centrist and given the language about avoiding "government subsidies" seemed like actually a right-leaning question. My question, about working across the aisle, was of course a bipartisan question (though, full disclosure, I am a Warren supporter and a liberal).

ReplyWhen you say you were comparing them as closely as possible, did you take organic/non-organic into account?

Wow -- if you read the map and not the chart, the snow totals look quite incredible -- 22 feet at the 99, 15 at Stony Brook, etc.
For future reference, we usually use a single prime for feet ('), a double prime for inches (").
