Westford Home Sales Up Nearly 30 Percent From 2011

The Warren Group reported an uptick in Westford's sold home inventory following the month of April.

  According to a recent report from the Warren Group, Westford saw a strong month when it came to sold homes, seeing a 43.75 percent increase in homes sold between April 2011 and 2012. In addition, the report indicated that year-to-date sales in Westford by the end of April had climbed 29.69 percent. Apparently, the surge in home sales is coming due a recalibration of home values, as average sold home values were down by 2.58 percent between April 2011 and 2012, with average prices dropping 14.33 percent compared to this time last year. Nearby communities varied in comparison to Westford, ranging from Chelmsford also seeing more sold homes, but with higher prices, to Acton's decreasing sales and average prices of sales.
