We're down to eight finalists in the annual tournament to see who has Westford's best pizza.

Papa Gino's (#1) vs. Sandrino's (#8) This year Sandrino's has made it to the final eight after finishing tenth last year. But can they dethrone the defending champion? Hi Katie, Thanks for the question -- the score is a combination of poll votes/comments/uploaded photos. Each one of those is one point and a blog post in support of a pizza place is 50 points. Scores are reset after each round.   more ›

Westford's Best Pizza 2012: The Tiebreaker Round

Domino's is gone, who's next to go?

Last week provided a few unexpected ties.... So, we're resetting the scores, saying good bye to Domino's, giving Papa Gino's, Silver Palate, Mangia Mangia and Pizzeria Presti the week off, and letting the other restaurants fight it out for the quarterfinals, which we'll push back to next week. If there are any ties this week, both restaurants will be eliminated and the restaurant they were supposed to face in the next round will receive a bye. Otherwise, same rules apply from last week, with one more addition: photos of pizzas from restaurants will also count for a point toward the final tally. Let the best pizza win! (Tie for #8 and #7) The Willows vs. Nashoba Pizza vs. British Beer Company vs. Sandrino's Between these four restaurants…

Second Annual Westford Pizza Tournament

Papa Gino's looks to defend its title, but the 2012 crown will be harder to come by as readers have new ways this year to help support their favorites.

For many, when it comes to thoughts of food in November, the first thing that would come to mind is Turkey. But here in Westford, you all showed last year that pizza is beloved first and foremost. In 2011, you crowned Papa Gino's as the best pizza in Westford. One year later, we're giving them, and Westford's other pizzerias a chance to see if that still holds true, but the rules are a little different this year. How It Will Work Each week, we'll have an article up for the contest, starting with this one here. Voters can support their favorite pizza joint in one of the following ways. The first three are worth one point a piece while writing a blog post is worth a whopping 50 points. The Schedule Week 1: The Prelims (Nov. 2 to 8) This …
