The following is a letter to the editor
I am writing to endorse Andrea Peraner-Sweet for re-election to the Westford Board of Selectmen. She has worked tirelessly for our town for more than 10 years, bringing her intelligence, common sense and commitment to cooperation to the many challenges we face in this rapidly developing community. We are so fortunate she is willing to continue her service to Westford, especially during these financially challenging times! I look forward to voting for Andrea on April 30. Denali Delmar

The following is a letter to the editor.
To the Editors, Exactly twenty years ago, Andrea Peraner Sweet stepped up to volunteer for the first time on a committee in service to Westford. It was my privilege to serve with Andrea and all the other members of that committee. The work of that committee involved a lot of public meetings. When Andrea got up to speak, she articulated the issues with laser focus, and built consensus by explaining the options so clearly that the best choice became obvious. And those are only two of her many impressive skills. At last May’s Memorial Day celebration on the common, Andrea Peraner-Sweet got up and addressed the veterans as Chairman of the Board of Selectman. Her words were so moving and compelling that I approached her afterwards to let her know. She replied by telling me it took her an entire week to write those words, and not being a veteran herself, there was no way she could stand in front of the veterans without knowing she had done her best to explain how much we all appreciated their service. I had only met Andrea casually before this, but for me, her commitment to the people in town really sunk in after hearing her reply. - Joe Mario

I am voting for Andrea Peraner-Sweet to be re-elected to the Westford Board of Selectmen and I am encouraging my friends and fellow Westford residents to do the same. Andrea is good for Westford. As her impressive record of public service has been recently detailed in these pages, I am writing now to stress her approach to public service. She brings commitment and energy to her work which is marked by a devotion to helping Westford thrive one resident at a time. She takes our concerns – the concerns of individual families – very seriously. She has an open mind, seeks creative solutions, and strives to master the details of issues that come before her. This attention to detail is guided by her command of the big picture and a broad …

This past January, Paul Rohs stepped down as the Chair of the Westford Republican Town Committee. The members would like to express their gratitude to Paul for his tireless leadership. During his tenure, Paul exemplified what it meant to be an elected official, representing Republican ideals to the residents of Westford. Paul’s term oversaw hosting the Middlesex Republican caucus, voter registration drives, physical and financial support for Freedom Park development, outreach programs, multiple local candidate and Town Meeting forums and establishment of the WRTC Freedom Award, a scholarship open to graduating high school students. When tensions peaked, Paul instituted Pub Night, inviting fellow Republicans to relax and discuss issues …
