TELL US: What Does Westford Need to Preserve?
There's a forum tonight at the Millennium School, but today we want to hear your thoughts.
At 7 p.m. tonight at the Millennium School (behind the Abbot School), the Westford Community Preservation Committee will meet to discuss applications for Community Preservation funding proposals for the 2013 Fiscal Year, which begins on July 1, 2013. But we can't wait for 7 p.m. Today, we want to ask you: what does Westford need to preserve to maintain its character? And what should the town spend money on toward that goal? Open Space? Historical places? Infrastructural initiatives? Maybe even nothing? Tell us what you think in the comments. Development is always going to happen. The issue is whether it's smart development that strikes a reasonable balance between growth and preservation of the existing qualities that drew people to this town. Everyone can always say, "It was better when..." It takes a lot more thought to say "I'd love if Westford was..."   more ›
