Westford Woman Seeks Help For Second Boston Marathon Run

Sarah Constantine is looking for new ways to help fundraise in a difficult economy.

Having overcome lupus and the Boston Marathon, Westford’s Sarah Jane Constantine is no stranger to adversity. But in her quest to enter the marathon again this spring, she’s facing a new obstacle. While many across the nation still analyze the impact of the recession that has hit the country over the past few years, Constantine is seeing one impact in her fundraising efforts this season for the race, which is down nearly $500 compared to last year. Local 'Giving Center' Receiving Huge Support

Local Tedeschi owner Dave Loiselle says "best customers in the world" are stepping up for charity.

A sign in the window of Tedeschi's Food Shop on Brookside Road reads, "The most generous people in the world walk through these doors, our customers." Ask shop owner Dave Loiselle about that sign, and he'll proudly tell you why it's true. "We have the best customers in the world," said Loiselle of Westford. "We just make the donating easier for them." After many successful donation and community service programs, Loiselle decided to create the "Giving Center" at the front of his store in October. Under encouraging signs and surrounded by informational brochures, he has set up a box for five charities. Customers are welcome to choose which organization they would like to support. The current charitable choices are Toys for Tots, Homes For …
