The MIAA playoffs are beginning soon, and Westford Academy will be there in softball.

Westford now stands at 10-9 and will learn their playoff opponent next week.

Westford Academy was able to reduce their magic number to one, but they haven't clinched a playoff spot yet.
Westford Academy is running out of time if it wants to see playoff baseball this season. While the Ghosts were able to grab a 4-1 victory over Acton-Boxborough earlier this week on the back of a Will Alden complete game and three crucial sixth inning runs, the boys in Maroon will still need one more win to qualify for the postseason. That win did not come on Thursday, as they fell 2-0 at home to the Boston Latin Wolfpack. The Ghosts nearly tied it up in the last inning, but Boston Latin's Patrick Naughton stranded two runners in scoring position, adding to a stellar day where he struck out 12 Westford batters. With the loss, Westford is now 9-8 and will need a win on the road against Lincoln-Sudbury on Friday, Concord-Carlisle on …
