A severe thunderstorm is headed toward the state on Tuesday night.
The largest electric utility in Massachusetts, National Grid said Tuesday that it would offer exact power restoration estimates later in the afternoon after Hurricane Sandy moved through on Monday.
The Cameron Senior Center and J.V. Fletcher Library are both open for residents without power, and the town has an automated storm information line at 978-399-2067.
At 6 p.m. on Monday night, the town declared a state of local emergency, estimating that more than 1,200 homes were without power last night.
