Kumon is an after-school math and reading tutoring program designed for all students. In fact, Kumon bills itself as the largest such program in the world. It has been around for more than 50 years. Instructor Joanne Lin has been at the Westford Kumon center for more than 16 years. Programs are targeted for "advanced students who need to be challenged, but also for students who need help catching up." Founder Toru Kumon says, "The most important thing in the world is to open up new worlds for our children to explore."
