Monday Essentials: A School Committee Meeting, Lego Fun & More
Five things to know for this week in Westford.
1. Upcoming Fun for Kids: The J.V. Fletcher library will hold a Library Lego Club meeting for kids ages six and up on Saturday at 2 p.m. Kids and caregivers are welcome to drop in.
2. Happening Monday: The School Committee will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Millennium Building to discuss a potential lunch increase in lunch prices, to accept a donation for Westford Academy’s “Les Miserables” production and more.
3. Weather: According to the National Weather Service, weather this week will be mostly sunny with temps in the mid to upper 70s. There’s a chance of rain on Monday.

4. Traffic Delays Ahead: Paving of Graniteville Road and River Street begins Friday. Work will start at 7 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. beginning Friday and extending through next Tuesday, Aug. 20.
5. ICYMI: In case you missed it, firefighters await the state’s input on a contract. They’ve been out of contract for two years, asking for salary increases.
