Monday Essentials: A Roudenbush Barbeque And Other Things To Keep An Eye Out For This Week

From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are some things going on in Westford this week.

This Week In Local Government

The School Committee will be discussing Superintendent Olsen's goals for the upcoming fiscal year, funding for the new Westford Academy bleachers and new teaching assistants, and a new informational website among other topics.

The Selectmen's agenda will be dominated with recommendations for Special Town Meeting, which is scheduled for Oct. 21.

Do You Want To Learn About Real Southern BBQ?

Look no further than the Roudenbush Community Center on Wednesday. We're not talking burgers and hot dogs here, instructor David Schaefer will provide the finer points on pulled pork, spare ribs, brisket and more.

Plus, there'll be a feast!

It's only $39 for Westford residents and $42 for non-residents.

But Wait, More Food Fun On Wednesday

At lunchtime, Evviva Cucina is teaming up with the Westford Healthy Kids Coalition, as the Cornerstone Square eatery will be sharing profits from sales off its menu.

Busy Week For The Ghosts

The football team travels to Acton-Boxborough on Friday, the field hockey team hosts Acton-Boxborough on Monday, and the girls' volleyball team, boys' golf team and the boys' and girls' soccer teams are all over the place.

More information is available at the Westford Academy athletics schedule site.
