Westford Academy and Nashoba Tech Football Enter Consolation Tournament

Both teams have three more games before their Thanksgiving match ups.

Westford Academy has had a disappointing year on the gridiron, but due to new MIAA rules, they’ll be eligible for a new format of the playoffs.

Although they only finished 1-6, the Grey Ghosts will now enter a round robin consolation tournament in the lead up to their annual Thanksgiving Day classic against Acton-Boxborough.

Finishing ninth in the Division 2 North MIAA Power Ratings, they will have the “top seed” in the consolation tournament, facing Billerica at home on the weekend of Nov.1, heading to Malden Catholic for the weekend of Nov. 8 and then concluding the consolation tournament at home against Newton South on the weekend of Nov. 15.
