Sox' Playoffs End As Grey Ghosts' Begin

We're quickly approaching Thanksgiving, and that means that it's time for Fall playoff action for Westford Academy sports teams.

Here's an overview of schedules in soccer and field hockey. For football, check out our story earlier this week. We'll have more on the golf team, cross country team and girls' volleyball team soon. 

Girls' Soccer

Nov. 1, 5 p.m. at (6) Peabody.  The winner of that game will face either (3)Masconomet on the road or (14) Cambridge at home on Nov. 3

Boys' Soccer

With a 5-9-3 record, the team did not qualify for the postseason. 

Field Hockey

With the third seed, Westford Academy will host Lincoln-Sudbury at 3 p.m. on Halloween. 

The winner of that game will face either Andover or Concord-Carlisle on Nov. 2, with Westford Academy having home field for all contests in the sectional playoffs unless they face Acton-Boxborough or Masconomet.
