Westford School Principal on Paid Leave

The principal of the Miller Elementary School is on paid leave and school officials aren’t speaking in detail about why, according to a report in The Lowell Sun.

Sarah Jill Mullavey is currently on paid leave, with School Superintendent Everett Olsen reportedly confirming the leave at Town Meeting on Saturday but not saying much else. He stated that couldn’t comment further about the situation since it was a personnel matter. Mullavey has been on leave for two weeks, according to the report.

Rumors began circulating on Facebook pages about Mullavey’s employment status last week. Olsen, during comments at Town Meeting, denied any fraudulent activity or rumors posted online.

Mullavey’s name and contact information remain on the school's website currently.
