Three from Nashoba Tech Qualify for DECA Conference

Three students from Nashoba Valley Technical High School qualified for the DECA State Career Development Conference by virtue of their performance at the District Conference in January.

John Santosuosso, a senior from Townsend, qualified in the category of Marketing Management; Samantha Johnson, a sophomore from Ayer, qualified in the category of Entrepreneurship Innovation for her idea of a business called The Cupcake Zone; and Julia Masson, a sophomore from Westford, qualified in the category of Marketing Management Role Play.

All three are students in Nashoba Tech’s Banking/Marketing/Retail program.

The State Conference was held at the Marriott Copley Hotel in Boston from March 6-8.

DECA is a national organization for high-school students enrolled in a marketing program. It is the only student organization that prepares its members to be America’s future leaders in the fields of marketing, management and entrepreneurship.
