Pobuk Appointed to Lead Miller Elementary School in Westford

She replaces Principal Sarah Jill Mullavey who retired earlier this year.

The Westford Public Schools have named Donna Pobuk the new principal of the Miller Elementary School in Westford, according to Everett V. Olsen Jr., the superintendent of schools for the district.

In an email alert to parents at the school, Olsen said he was "very pleased to announce the appointment" of Pobuk. She will take over on July 1.

"I am excited to have her lead the Miller School as it's (sic) Principal," Olsen noted.

Pobuk has been the assistant principal at the school during the past two years and has been with the district for nearly 14 years, according to her LinkedIn account. She also served two years as the curriculum coordinator art/wellness for the district between 2008 and 2010. Pobuk attended Boston University and Endicott College.

Pobuk has also been assisting in leading the school in the wake of the leave of absence and later, retirement, of Principal Sarah Jill Mullavey earlier this year. Neither school officials nor Mullavey have offered comment on why she abruptly was put on leave.
