Huntley Appointed Assistant Principal at Nabnasset, Abbot Schools

The Westford Public Schools have appointed Kathy Huntley as the assistant principal for the Nabnasset and Abbot Elementary Schools, according to an email sent out by Everett V. Olsen Jr., the superintendent of schools, on May 23.
Huntley has been serving as the interim assistant principal for about six months, covering for Joanna Perron, who has decided not to return, according to Olsen. 
Olsen said a replacement search was held and the decision was made to keep Huntley on.
"We have just completed the interview process, and I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Kathy Huntley on a permanent basis," Olsen stated in the email. "Kathy has demonstrated growth in her leadership abilities, as well as great enthusiasm and passion for the Assistant Principal position."
Perron was hired in 2010 and served two years in the interim assistant position. She was hired to the position permanently in 2012.
