Francis to Retire in June

Westford School assistant superintendent has spent four decades in education.

Christine Francis, the assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction for the Westford School District, will retire at the end of June, according to The Lowell Sun.

Francis, a long-time educator who was hired by the town three years ago from Belmont, where she was principal of the Burbank Elementary School for about seven years, said in an email to officials and colleagues that she had mixed emotions about the decision but was looking forward to spending time with family.

Francis has been involved in education since the early 1970s as both a teacher and administrator.
