Field Day Postponed at Westford's Abbot Elementary School

While spring and summer are great months, the weather can sometimes be unpredictable, with rain and often, crazy, booming (and dangerous) thunderstorms. Because of this, events are sometimes cancelled due to weather problems. 
Such is the case for Field Day at Abbot Elementary School in Westford. 
The celebration was scheduled for Friday, May 23, but due to the possible inclement weather scheduled for tomorrow, running through Friday, Principal Vito Umbro has postponed the event until June 13. 
"We thank all of those who were ready to volunteer on Friday and we look forward to your participation on June 13," he said in an email. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."
