Coming Soon: Westford Patch Live Chat on College Finances

Credit cards, school debt, work-study jobs; is college even worth the debt? Ask your questions as Washington lawmakers make their decisions about the interest rate on student loans.

By Grahame Turner

Know someone who's heading off to college?

Should he or she get a credit card? What should they do about school debt? Should they go for a work-study job? Is college even worth the debt? Especially with the recent college loan rate increase, these are huge topics as parents get ready to send their kids off to college.

To help you make decisions, we are offering a live college finances chat on Thursday Aug. 1. Bring them with you to our Patch chat, or just stop by to get some advice.

Our expert will be Jane Lundquist, an executive vice-president for Rockland Trust. She's a Charlestown resident, and a Newbury College trustee.

What do you want to ask Jane Lundquist? Leave your questions in comments below or come back on Aug. 1.
