Cara Masson Named a Student of the Month at Nashoba Tech

Cara plans to attend Elms College in Chicopee to study Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Cara Masson of Westford has been selected as a Student of the Month for February at Nashoba Valley Technical High School.

Nashoba Tech Students of the Month are sponsored by The Catalano Companies, which owns Dunkin’ Donuts franchises in Groton, Pepperell, Shirley and Townsend.

Cara, daughter of John and Cheryl Masson, is a senior in the Cosmetology program. She is a high-honors student and has been inducted into both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. She is a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions and the Horticulture Club. She also competes for the cross-country and spring track teams, and was named an Athlete of the Month in October 2013.

Cara plans to attend Elms College in Chicopee to study Communication Sciences and Disorders.
       
She was nominated by Cosmetology Instructor Donna McMahon, who wrote: “Cara is a dedicated, hard-working student who has gained well-deserved praise and recognition for both her theory and practical accomplishments in Cosmetology. She is a bright and sincere young lady, a diligent student and a wonderful role model for her peers. Cara is a caring and compassionate individual, demonstrating integrity in not only her school work but in her everyday life.”
