Westford Single-Family Home Sales, Prices Rise

Massachusetts' single-family home prices are at their highest since 2007.

Single-family home sales in Massachusetts climbed to the highest level in June for any month in three years.

In Middlesex County, single-family sales are up 4.96 percent compared to January to June last year, according to a report by The Warren Group.

The year-to-date median sale price is $411,000, up from $386,000 last year.

Westford’s median sale price surpasses that at $460,000, and Westford single-family home sales are up 32.29 percent for the year so far. Year-to-date home sales statewide are up just .12 percent, with a 1 percent increase in June. 

The median single-home price across Massachusetts is up 12 percent from last year.

“Buyers have come out to the market in droves and aggressive bidding is driving up prices,” said the Warren Group CEO Timothy M. Warren Jr. “While not a problem at this juncture, I hope for more modes increases in the future.”
