What Did the Selectmen Do in Westford Last Night?

Here's a rundown of the actions taken by the board.

The Board of Selectmen met on May 27, at the Town Hall. Here’s a quick rundown of what they did:

  • Approved a grant agreement with Stony Brook II Common Ground Development
  • Approved a drainage easement for 22-24 Broadway St.
  • Continued a discussion about purchasing 64 Main St., the Agnew Property, until June 3.
  • Approved of a cease and desist request concerning a commercial composting operation taking place at Drew Gardens.
  • Continued a discussion about the Drew Gardens Task Force.
  • Continued a discussion about a requested change to the 2014-2016 Farmers’ Market agreement by Sustainable Westford. 
  • Approved of a tree lighting request by the Girl Scouts of Westford for Nov. 30.
  • The board also recognized Genevieve Johnson for graduating from WA Class of 2014; recognized Tim and Brian Curran for their Skate for a Cure fundraisers; and presented awards to Girl Scouts.
