Westford Hunting Policy Committee Seeks Public Comment

Meetings being held tonight and in June.

The committee eyeing how the town of Westford should tackle the process of approving hunting permits on town land is looking for public input at the next three meetings, according to the chairman of the committee.

The Westford Hunting Policy Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on May 22, in the Town Hall; 7 p.m. on Monday, June 9, at the Millennium School; and 7 p.m. on June 26, at the Town Hall, according to Al Prescott, the chairman of the committee.

At all three meetings, the public "is encouraged to make comments" about how the committee should move forward on policy.

The committee was established last year after residents near Buck Board Drive were upset that a resident had received a bow hunting license to use on town land.
