We'll have more later tonight.

One certainty during the lead up to Town Meeting season is constant updates, and here is the latest update on what can be expected during Wednesday night's continuation of last week's Board of Selectmen meeting, being held at the Stony Brook School.

Attached is the agenda, accurate as of Wednesday morning, and the citizen's petitions submitted referencing Article 30 in some way.

If we hear of more updates or changes, we will send them your way and we will have information from the meeting tonight as soon as possible.

Westford has become the laughing stock of the state (see video below WRKO is promoting). Unfortunately and ironically BoS Bob Jeffries shoots 1st and asks questions later, he needs to step down already...Westford will be sued into submission by the NRA over this illegal and dumb request (the NRA has won in every similar case across the country)...good grief get a clue! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDPN_7RgOtk

I'm so tired of having my constitutional rights threatened by a few crazy people

I agree with the above 2 comments.. A waste of Westford's time, money and reputation. Who would want to live there after reading about this, and no new seletmen elected in last few elections..they are serving themselves and their firneds, plus the minority of folks there who get out and vote.

FYI, Arlington is right behind you. We have the same Moon Bats in this town as well. It's sad when you have these people who represent us not know what they are talking about. Good Luck to the Westford law abiding gun owners. P.s. Great youtube video.

This is a big waste of our resources, time and energy. It is a shame that people are actually supporting this.

Westfords magic money tree better be ready for a bumper crop because money we don't have is being burned right now and that's penny ante to what this will cost us big picture. I am ready for property values to take a hit when the town lays off 100+ workers to make ends meet.

I think it's ironic that the meeting begins with the Pledge of Allegiance, "And to the Republic, For Which It Stands... With Liberty and Justice for All" and then they plan to slam in a gun ban. So the Catholics are getting persecuted for their beliefs by HHS, some states are trying to bypass the 4th Amendment by allowing warrentless searches of homes for "illegal guns," there's no transparency in government and the media doesn't do much prodding to get the truth from anybody anymore, organized crime is back to join the gangs that are alive and thriving -- bringing casino gambling into Massachusetts, activist judges don't put anybody away so that law firms can rake in the annuity fees from their clients (and the parole board lets them loose for the same reason), and whack-job activists are getting everybody to pour money into failing solar and wind power projects that other countries have found never returned ANYTHING worth the investment. Is this 2013, or 1939?

Looks like Bob Jeffries shoots himself in the foot. Not in literal sense but in the metaphoric sense. I hope the voters don't forget about this at election time.

Well said folks in all respects. I was there at the meeting. What a debacle, even Jeffries was apparently afraid to Chair the subject, don't blame him. How ludicrous of him to have introduced it in the first place, oblivious to what it would cost the town in an NRA law suit if passed. And, the cost so far: the special detail of many police, firemen, moving the town TV production and the added negative notoriety for the town to prospective home owners (thus tax revenue) who do their due dilligence as to town government, or should I say Town Government's Ideology

Dear Saber Walsh, That was very well said !! Joe Biden and the Moon Bats could use some Tutoring from you. If we had more common sense people like you in Government our country would be a much better place for ALL! If you ever run for office please let me know. Please consider moving to Arlington. Well it looks like the Law Abiding Firearm owners won last night........Congrats ! Thanks you for the common sense note you made on the Patch. We need more people like you. God Bless America......................

I've heard the irascible "moonbats" now have 200+ signatures on a petition for special town meeting in the fall. Stay tuned, this one ain't goin' away anytime soon, folks.
