Woman Says Christmas Dinner Ruined By Train

Dec. 3, 8:23 p.m. - Police responded to a car break-in on Bradley Lane. Approximately $250 in items were stolen from the vehicle along and the center console of the vehicle was damaged.

It was the first in a series of break-ins reported from the neighborhood, followed by another on Boutwell Hill Road (9:19 p.m), Meadow Lane (10:00 p.m.), Bixby Lane (7:35 p.m. the next day) and two residents coming into the Police Station lobby (3:46 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. the next day)

In all of the incidents, items were strewn across the vehicles, with stolen items varying in value from $10 to $200.

Dec. 13, 8:26 p.m. – A Billerica man was pulled over on Littleton Road after reports of strobe lights in the grill of his vehicle.

The man was located thanks to help from the Billerica Police Department and indicated he purchased the vehicle from an officer in Bolton, and did not use the lights outside of when he was stopped on the side of the road.

However, the officer informed the man that he could face charges due to the lights. The man understood and apologized.

Dec. 25, 9:30 a.m. – One woman on Bridge Street was upset about a train idling on the tracks across from her house.

She told police the train had been idling since 2 a.m. and did not want guests coming to Christmas dinner to view the train out her window.

Officers contacted officials at the train company, who indicated the train was left there due to the holiday and would be moved the next day.

Jan. 11, 12:31 a.m. - Erin Whitney, 31, of 39 Galloway Rd. in Chelmsford was arrested on Littleton Road on charges of alleged marked lane violations and operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Jan. 12, 11:52 a.m. - Jeason Beafield, 36, of Carlisle Road was arrested on charges of alleged driving with a suspended license.
