Wedding Fight at Regency Broken Up Without Incident

Nov. 30, 11:09 p.m. – A manager at the Westford Regency called to report a fight.

One of the two parties in the altercation was identified as a groom at a wedding party in the hotel. Police contacted the man who said the other group in the fight, which consisted of four men, came out of nowhere and began to shout lewd comments at female participants in the wedding party.

There was no physical altercation, and the groom did not want to press charges.

The manager demanded the four men apologize, which they did, and then the four men left the property.

Nov. 28, 12:05 p.m. – A motor vehicle crash was reported near the intersection of Deer Run Drive and Main Street.

The vehicle, a black Volvo heading south, had hit a nearby fire hydrant and several mail boxes, with significant front end damage.

The driver was heading down Main Street and dropped off a passenger on Baldwin Road. Shortly after this he said he became distracted, careening into the hydrant.

No reason was given for the distraction.

The roads were slippery and it was indicated the car was travelling at 40 mph.

Police issued the driver an unspecified citation.

Nov. 30, 12:57 p.m. – An older man with salt and pepper hair was reported taking pictures of Middlesex Bank from his truck.

The truck was described as a gray Dodge Ram with a red decal above the rear wheel well. There was no indication of the license plate number.
