Middlesex Deputy Sheriff Shot in Boston

Suspect reportedly also is shot after having grabbed a sheriff's gun.

According to Beacon Hill Patch, the suspect is in critical condition. The condition of the deputy sheriff is unknown. Both were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

A suspect is in custody after witnesses say he shot a Middlesex County deputy sheriff officer in the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. 
The suspect was also shot in the ensuing struggle during the prisoner grabbed the sheriff's gun, according to the Boston Globe. Another sheriff returned fire and shot the suspect, according to the Globe. According to WCVB-TV's Janet Wu, the sheriff is Middlesex County Sheriff. 

According to Boston Police, the suspect acted alone. They are not searching for anyone else connected to the incident, according to the department's official Twitter feed. Both the sheriff's and suspect's conditions are unknown.
