Sept. 26, 10:20 a.m. - A motorist from Lowell was heading east on Groton Road when an officer did a random registration check of his vehicle.

This check revealed that the Lowell motorist's license had been suspended for lack of payment in July.

The officer talked to the man, who said that he had just dropped off his daughter and was unaware of the license suspension.

Another license holder was unavailable to come to the scene, so the Lowell man's truck was towed and the Lowell man was issued a ticket.
