UPDATE, 3 p.m. The northbound side of I-495 has been reopened to traffic. At least one person has been assisted on the ground. Massachusetts State Police are advising that the two left lanes will be closed for approximately two hours for its crash investigation.
UPDATE, 2:37 p.m. State Police are reporting that the accident is a two-car rollover into the median with serious injuries. Parts of both the northbound and southbound sections of the highway are closed for a medical helicopter.

Part of I-495 southbound near Exit 31 is partially closed at this hour due to a motor vehicle crash, according to online alerts.
At a little past 2 p.m. on March 22, Massachusetts State Police were called to the accident. Currently the two left lanes of the highway off to traffic. Rescue teams were reportedly using the Jaws of Life to extract a person with injuries.
At around 2:15 p.m., a medical helicopter was being requested to the scene.
