I-495 will soon be cleared after a rollover accident north
of Exit 31, at the Westford and Littleton line, at around 4 p.m. on March 9,
according to the Massachusetts State Police.
Both sides of the highway were closed off so a med-flight helicopter could land.
It is unknown how many people were transported but the NorthEast Fire Alert Twitter account reported that there were injuries at the scene.
All the northbound lanes were closed for about 30 minutes before the right-hand travel lane opened up to traffic at 4:35 p.m.
Massachusetts State Police reported on Twitter that residual traffic from the accident should be expected on the northbound side of the highway.
Westford Patch will update when more information becomes available.
