What the heck is it with that section of 495? You read about so many accidents there and yet it is a straight and safe seeming area.

i agree, why so many accidents near exit 32? I hope they are going to be ok. sending good thoughts! Separately, I don't know why we don't hear of many bad accidents at that awful bridge section on 495 south, between Rt. 3 and the Rt. 4/Rt. 100 exit 33. I keep thinking it is going to collapse one of these days soon. That section scares me.

Many variables: speeding in left lane; tailgating at 75 mph one car length apart. Swerving never works-rollover results at those speeds. Reaching for CD, cigarette, food, phone use. Potholes and bridge wear/ creases, debris in road maybe? Deer too. I stay in middle lanes til exit, seldom next to median. Low sunlight will blind ya. Stay back and hold on!

Cant be rough road, seems they repave it every other yr. Then ya get down past Foxboro and it looks like it hasn't been repaved since they built it.
