Oct. 21, 9:05 a.m. – Two neighbors were the center of a dispute on Graniteville Road involving a dog owned by one of the neighbors.

The dog owner told police he had lived there for 15 years and occasionally at night the dog barks loudly due to wildlife in the area.

Although the dog owner’s neighbor offered to build a kennel for the dog owner, the dog owner declined, with Westford Animal Control also unable to calm the situation.

The neighbor who called the police said he did not want this to impact the outcome of his house being sold in the spring.

Later, the matter was deferred to the Animal Control Department of Westford Police, who said they’d try to resolve the conflict, and that they had not heard from either party on the conflict in over a year.
