Westford Resident Sarah Moore, 43, Passed Away on Monday

The following was submitted by the family of Sarah Moore

Sarah J. (Worthley) Moore, 43, a resident of Westford, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013.   She was the beloved wife for 19 years of David R. Moore.

She was born in Silver Spring, MD on March 7, 1970 and was the daughter of Jonathan P. and Jane E. (DeSisto) Worthley of Westford.

Sarah was a 1988 graduate of Westford Academy and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Bentley College in 1991.  Sarah has been in direct sales for the past 12 years, most recently as an Independent Founding Leader for an organic skincare company.  She loves to read, especially historical novels and Arthurian literature.  Her favorite beach is Ocean Park, Maine and she enjoys skiing with her family, visiting art museums and traveling.  Sarah is a passionate advocate for the improvement of services for children with learning disabilities.  She organized an ongoing group for Westford moms to support them in their effort to gain access to a better education for their children – never accepting “good enough” when it comes to experiencing a truly great education.  Sarah is credited with Westford Teachers getting their first professional development workshop focused on executive function.  She was an active parishioner of St. Irene Parish in Carlisle. 

In addition to her loving husband and devoted parents, Sarah leaves three children whom she cherished; Benjamin N. Moore, Jacob J. Moore, and Joshua P. Moore; two brothers; James P. Worthley of Westford, and Nicholas H. Worthley of Chelmsford; her in-laws, Janice and Wayne Moore of CT, many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

It being Sarah’s wish, visiting hours have been omitted. Family and friends are invited to please meet at St. Irene Parish, 181 East Street, Carlisle for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 12th.  Interment in Heart Pond Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Sarah Moore, Ocean Park Association, 14 Temple Avenue, P.
