Nashoba Tech's Winter Adult-Ed Courses Are Set To Begin Jan. 27

WESTFORD — Nashoba Valley Technical School will launch the winter semester of its programs for continuing community education and professional development on Jan. 27.

Health Assisting (Certified Nursing Assistant), Culinary arts, Machine Tool Technology and Microsoft Office are just a few of the offerings. Students looking to try a new career or to strengthen their marketability in the workforce are encouraged to enroll. Workforce funding is available through employers for many of the courses.

Upon successful completion of the Health Assisting (CNA) program, students are eligible to sit for the Red Cross Certified Nurse Assisting exam. The nursing field is one of the top 10 growth careers listed on the state’s Division of Labor website.

Others can complete their training for electrical or plumbing journeyman. Requirements of the course vary, but Nashoba Tech offers a manageable and affordable option for apprentices in these fields.

The Culinary Arts course includes ServSafe certification to launch a new career, or expand on a continued interest in culinary trends. Chefs teaching the courses are working professionals in the field, and bring a host of experience and knowledge to another fast-growth career path.

Microscoft Office and Machine Tool Technology can help the unemployed or underemployed in a new career path with certification.
