Nashoba Tech Hotel and Restaurant, Culinary Arts Students Serve Vets Thanksgiving Meal

Madeline Falcone, a junior from Westford in Nashoba Valley Technical High School’s Hotel & Restaurant Management program, serves Thanksgiving dinner to Lowell-area homeless veterans and staff members of Disabled American Veterans during the Westford school’s traditional event. The dinner is a Thanksgiving tradition for 13 years now, started by Chef-Instructor Steve Whiting, who invites veterans and staff members from local veterans housing groups affiliated with the Veterans Administration. The meal consisted of a traditional Thanksgiving feast of turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash, peas, beverage, and coffee and pie for dessert, all prepared, cooked and served by students in Culinary Arts and Hotel & Restaurant Management.
