New Textile Arts Classes at the American Textile History Museum

The American Textile History Museum in Lowell is offering a variety of new Winter 2014 textile arts classes. From crocheting and knitting to spinning and weaving, ATHM’s textile arts education programs offers a fun learning experience for students of all levels and ages. Enrollment is open and space is limited.

Whether a textile artist or someone who has never picked up a needle, these classes present the opportunity to learn a new skill or expand knowledge in a fun and supportive environment. Educators explore the fundamentals of technique, design, and color while providing expert guidance to students as they create their own works, whether it’s a knitter’s colorful scarf or a weaver’s beautiful tapestry.

ATHM provides special classes customized for children, who learn textile techniques while creating fun and age-appropriate crafts, from beading and flat felting to yarn dolls and woven pocket purses.
