New Local Videos Include Market Basket Employee Interview, Fitchburg Animal Shelter Followup

Summertime at WestfordCAT brings more volunteers into the station and more opportunities to create videos of local interest. Patty Stocker, recently recognized as our Volunteer of the Year at our Annual Membership Meeting, has been out and about with staff members George Cox and Anya Zulawnik getting interviews on local issues and events.

On Tuesday, they were on the scene at Market Basket's Store #72 in Cornerstone Square, talking with picketing employees about their cause to reinstate ousted CEO Arthur T. Demoulas.

Earlier this month, you may have heard about the unfortunate incident of a pit bull in Fitchburg getting euthanized and the subsequent closing of the Fitchburg Animal Shelter. Patty visited the former director of the shelter to get the inside story.

She also visited the JV Fletcher Library last week to talk with Assistant Director India Nolan about their summer programs and share some lesser known facts about their online services.

You can watch all these interviews and more on WestfordCAT's YouTube Channel or on your local cable services - Comcast 8 and Verizon 35.
