Why can't we get reporting like this Patch?

It is that time of year again:  The WFM (and BOS) annual disregard of the WPD, WFD and now NMCoG submission about overall resident safety, traffic, parking and cost free use of the Common for 20 weeks... 

Listen, I like FMs.  I will travel to them in different towns near and far to see what each one has to offer.  This same feeling is felt by anyone who likes something, and in this case it is FMs.  It is laughable to think if the FM was moved to the Rodenbush, 4H, Blanchard middle school, or the Jack Walsh fields that customers would not follow.  Simply put, if people like something they will seek it out.  It is why I goto IHOP in Nashua one Sunday a month, to MB vs Shaws (which is alot closer to me), or to the Pepperell, Acton & Tyngsboro FMs just to name a few... 

The North Middlesex Council of Government (WPD/FD as well) concluded and agreed changes need to be made and the WFM has grown significantly over the years, yet the FM disagrees? Hello BOS?  The FM has ballooned to 25+ vendors (hello zoning laws?) but it hasn't grown?  And the FM is crying poor?  I'd like both the FM interest and town responsibily to coexist, no exceptions...

Nobody dislikes the FM.  The collateral damage it causes is UNDENIABLE and needs some fixing (insert NMCG, WPD/FD constructive suggestions here).  Proposing 'just' 19 vendors and a $500 fee is a start....not the $2 Sustainable is now charging vendors as a 'town usage fee'. $2 might cover the police detail coffee tab (thank you very much WPD/FD btw!). 

In the famous words of Ms.Gilbert 'the WFM is one of the best in the region, but it is very slow'.  Only in Westford.  Need > Want.
