More Help For Haiti From Folks With Westford Connections

Westford native Stacey Alcorn wants to donate thousands of dollars to Haiti relief, using her upcoming wedding as a fundraising event for that goal.

Over the past few years, the Peacock family here in Westford has traveled to Haiti to help those in need, but they're not alone.

The Lowell Sun reports that Westford native Stacey Alcorn aims to raise somewhere between $20,000 and $30,000 on her upcoming wedding night to help those impacted by the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Specifically, she aims to provide the money to the Massachusetts-based Be Like Brit fund, which is run by a Massachusetts couple looking to fulfill the dream of their daughter who died in the earthquake: building an orphanage in Haiti.

The charitable efforts are not the first for Alcorn, following previous years where she has helped donate food and other items to those in need during the holidays, including co-workers

A long-time realtor in the area for RE/MAX, Alcorn also recently opened a fashion boutique in Chelmsford.
