– Community Celebration 2014

During the Month of March, Westford will
be celebrating the "Arts" in many different ways with programs, concerts, art exhibits,
classes, contests, and more.  Programs and other
events will be offered all over Westford – visit www.westford.com/funfest for details and updates.

The Westford Family FunFest and the
Westford Regency Inn and Conference Center invites individuals, organizations,
schools, civic organizations, businesses, community and church groups to be
part of the 1st Annual Westford Art in Bloom & Design Festival –
A Community Celebration of Art and Design 2014 .   This will be offered from March 20 - 30.

Different events and programs will be offered during
this time and during the whole month of March – Some will be free and others

Pre event Fairy Garden Workshop, Emily Piper, Sat, March
1 10am $– Gardens on display Art & Bloom - more details coming soon.

Pre event – Paint and Social Night – Wednesday, March
5   6-9 pm  with Art Detox $

Pre event – Parent and Child Art Sunday – Sunday,
March 16th  2:30 – 4:00pm  $  with
Art Detox

Opening  reception of the new Art
Displays in the Carlisle Room ,Clarks Pub, Art Gallery and Lobby Hallway by Art on Main and Art Detox– DTA

The Art in Bloom & Design Festival will be on
display at the Westford Regency Inn and Conference Center from March 20 – 30,
2014.



o   
Art and Floral/Design Displays FREE held in the
Atrium, Lobby area of the Westford Regency.



o   
Silent auction on Selected Art and floral/design
pieces by artists during the event.   



o   
Fairy Garden Display – FREE



o   
Opening Reception with Music, Art and Designs – FREE



§  Opening
reception will be held at the Westford Regency on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from
6pm – 8:30pm with light refreshment, music, viewing of art/displays and People’s
Choice voting starts.



o   
Trivia Night at Westford Regency  for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell –
March 21  7 pm  



o   
Breakfast with Music - $   Saturday, March 22, 2014 – 9am – 11:30am



o   
High Tea with Spring Fashion Show  $ Saturday,  March 
29,2014 -  2-4pm  $



Guidelines & Prizes



·        
Individuals, organizations, businesses and others can enter
into two different categories of the  Art
& Design Festival.



The Art and
Floral/Design displays will be judged on creativity and imagination.



o   
Two Categories: 



·        
Art & Complementary Floral/Design  submitted by same person/group



·        
Art submitted by artist and a different person/group
creates the Complementary Floral/Design of the Art piece.



o   
Divisions for Each Category:



·        
Youth up to high school – (individuals and
organizations)



·        
Adults. (individuals and organizations)



·        
Business/Civic/Town Departments



o   
Prizes – Special certificates – Display at the hotel
for an extra week for all winners –



§  First Place
($50), second place ($25) will be awarded for each division winner. 



·        
Plus bragging rights for the whole year including on
the Westford FunFest Website. 



·        
Winning art and arrangements/displays will be on
display in the hotel until



Sunday, April 6,2014.

Set-up



Both the art and the Complementary design must be
set-up between 12noon – 8pm on Wednesday, March 19th  only – all areas must be kept clean and
materials taken with you that are not part of the tree.  



o   
Art display – must be on an easel supplied by the
artist   and complimentary display can be
put exhibited on the Floor or supply a small table as a display stand.



Cost: Free, if registered by March 1 - - $10
charge after March 1 – make check payable to Westford FunFest.
