Running for Public Officed

Ever Thought about Running for Office?

Come join School Committee Member Angela Harkness, Planning Board Member Dennis Galvin, former Selectman Bob Jefferies, and Library Trustee Marianne Fleckner for an informal panel discussion.  The Forum will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 7:30-9:30pm in the Meeting Room of the J.V. Fletcher Library. Topics to be discussed include making the decision to run, getting started, running a campaign, and getting involved with appointed boards and committees.

A booklet recently published by the League of Women Voters of Westford, "A Guide to Running for Local Office in Westford," will be available to attendees.  The Guide is also available at the Town Clerk's office, the J.V. Fletcher Library, and online at westford.com/lwv.  This event, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Westford, is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.
