St. Mark’s Church hosts ‘Prayers for the Nation’ after divisive election season
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Westford will mark Veteran’s Day weekend with a service to bring together all citizens, no matter their political differences, to pray for the newly elected president, the entire nation and especially its veterans. At the Sunday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m. service, Rev. Suzanne Wade will lead “Prayers for the Nation” to start the healing process necessary after such a divisive election campaign. “Inevitably, some of us will be disappointed that our candidate didn't win,” said Rev. Wade. “In this service, we will set our political differences aside and come together to pray for the entire nation, and for God’s guidance and blessing for the tasks ahead.” All are welcome to the service. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is located at 75 Cold Spring Road, Westford. For more information, call 978-692-7849, email secretary@st-mark.org or visit us on Facebook.
