Flood Watch In Effect Until Early Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood alert for portions of Connecticut as well as Worcester, Essex and Middlesex Counties in Massachusetts, including Westford.

They forecast heavy showers and thunderstorms on Monday evening that could bring one to two inches of rain per hour overnight, leading to potential flooding near rivers and poor drainage areas.

The flood watch is currently set to expire early on Tuesday morning.
