Five Things for Today in Westford: June 20

From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for today.

 

#1. For Crisafulli Parents: Any students that didn't make it to school on the year's last day will have their report cards mailed home.

The school is asking all personal belongs to be picked up by June 30, they will be left on a table in the main hallway.

#2. Preparing for Birth and Motherhood with Yoga: The Roudenbush will be holding a class helping expecting moms with postural awareness that helps alleviate discomfort while also giving simple breathing techniques for labor and birth.

#3. On July 11... The Westford Chorus will join more than 200 singers at the DCR Hatch Shell in the Esplanade in Boston for the Boston Landmarks Orchestra’s 2012 Landmarks Festival at the Shell.

#4. Pictured:  State Representative James Arciero recently attended the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Austin James Pecora, a member of Westford Boy Scout Troop 95.

Mr. Pecora was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in scouting, on May 20th at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Westford.  

Austin's project was the construction of a shed for the Frost Pre-School to provide storage for outdoor seasonal toys using the carpentry skills learned in the Nashoba Valley Technical High School's carpentry shop.

As part of the ceremony, Representative Arciero presented a Massachusetts House of Representatives Citation to the recipient to mark the occasion. Representative Arciero is also an Eagle Scout.

#5. One Last Reminder: The Town of Westford Strategic Planning Retreat will be held at tonight at 5:30.
